Dental Plate Prosthesis

A dental plate prosthesis is a removable dental prosthesis, the basis of which is a plate made of plastic or metal.

Laminar dentures are made in a dental laboratory and installed on the patient’s edentulous jaw. They are attached to the remaining teeth or to implants using special fasteners.

Plate dentures allow you to restore chewing function and the aesthetics of a smile with complete or partial loss of teeth. Their advantages are removability, accessibility and ease of maintenance. Disadvantages - the need for regular adjustments, limited service life.

Plate dentures can be complete (for the upper and lower jaw) and partial (for one jaw). They are made of plastic or metal (stainless steel, cobalt-chromium alloy).

The manufacture of a plate prosthesis requires impressions of the jaws, determination of the bite and placement of artificial teeth. This allows you to restore the functions of the dental system as much as possible.

Dental plate prosthetics is the simplest and most common method of restoring dentition. Plastic or ceramic dentures can replace one or more teeth or significantly improve the appearance of your smile.

Dentures made from ceramic materials are used when it is necessary to restore the upper row of teeth or when installing the first upper denture
