Puncture Blind

A cecal puncture (caeca) is a procedure in which a needle is inserted into the patient's cecum and then a small amount of its contents is removed. This study helps to determine the cause of intestinal obstruction, reduce the risk of possible complications and begin treatment in a timely manner.

The cecal puncture procedure is performed only in a hospital setting by an experienced surgeon who knows all the possible risks and consequences of this operation. Typically, the patient lies on his left side with his legs bent, and the surgeon makes a small incision at the base of the cecum and inserts a long flexible tube - a thin probe connected to a container to collect fluid (often a catheter).

The tube passes easily and quickly through the intestines, and the patient does not feel pain
