Telangiectatica arcuate purpura (purpura teleangiectatica arciformis) is one of the varieties of purpura, characterized by the appearance of arcuate red-violet spots on the skin due to hemorrhages from dilated capillaries (telangiectasia).
This type of purpura is also known as touraine arcuate telangiectatic purpura. The main symptoms are the appearance of arched spots of bright red or purple color on the skin (usually on the legs). These spots are formed due to hemorrhages in the dermis due to damage to the walls of the capillaries.
The reasons for the development of purpura telangiectatic arcuate may be associated with hereditary connective tissue diseases, old age, and taking certain medications. Diagnosis is based on the characteristic clinical picture. Treatment, as a rule, consists of eliminating the causes of the disease.
