Reception Room Port

Port Reception Room is a name that is often found in historical documents and literature. Currently, this name is no longer used, but it has its own history and meaning.

The Portovy emergency room was one of the first medical institutions in St. Petersburg. It was opened in 1719 and was located on the territory of the port. It was one of the few medical institutions that were open at that time, and it became popular among the city's residents.

Doctors of various specialties worked in the Portovy emergency room, including surgeons, therapists, obstetricians and others. Surgeries, treatment of various diseases and obstetrics were performed here.

In addition, the Portovy emergency room provided consultations and treatment for patients who could not receive medical care elsewhere in the city. This was especially important for people who came to St. Petersburg by ship and did not have the opportunity to receive medical care on the spot.

However, over time, the Portovy emergency room began to lose its popularity. In 1800 it was closed and a new medical complex was built in its place. Nevertheless, the Portovy emergency room left its mark on the history of medicine and continues to be an interesting object for study.
