Retinitis Toxoplasmosis

Today we will talk about a rare disease called retinitis toxaplasmosis. Toxplasma retinitis is a very dangerous disease that can lead to serious consequences for a person’s health and even life. Retinitis is an infectious disease caused by Toxoplasma, a parasitic microbe. This infection can be transmitted from animals to humans through dirty hands, food, and even through airborne droplets.

Tochoplasmosis retinitis is one of the most common types of Toxoplasma neuritis in humans. It affects the retina of the eye, which is responsible for image perception and color recognition. With this disease, as a result of the infectious process, swelling of the retina and inflammation of the vessels that feed it occur. In addition, the disease is often accompanied by hemorrhages in the retinal tissue. In the most severe cases, this can lead to complete loss of vision.

The main symptom of retinitis is decreased quality of vision and impaired color vision. Most often, the disease manifests itself in the form of visual hallucinations - bright, colored, outlines or shadows. Photosensitivity and blurred vision may also occur. Patients complain of headache, fever and aching muscles and joints.
