Fish

Fish belong to the family of ray-finned fish and are one of the most ancient species of animals on Earth. They live in fresh and salt waters of all continents. Fish are a unique species that amazes with their variety of shapes, sizes and colors. They have fins, scales and gills, as well as sensory organs that allow them to live in water.

Fish can be divided into several groups: predatory fish, bottom-dwelling fish and cleansing fish. Predatory fish prey on other fish, shrimp and crayfish, while bottom-dwelling fish live on the bottom of bodies of water and feed on algae and other small creatures. Cleaner fish, in turn, cleanse the water of contaminants and other waste.

Fish have an important role in the ecosystem of every body of water, as they provide food for other animals, including birds, insects and mammals. In addition, fish are an important part of fisheries and are used as sources of food and medicine. However, some fish species are endangered, making them essential to preserving the biodiversity of our planet.
