Nursery Rhyme Charades

Children love rhymes and enjoy acting them out. Here are some ideas for fun charades based on children's rhymes.

First, read or sing a few favorite rhymes with your children. Let each child quietly tell you in your ear which poem he chose for the image. Then the child, together with you, tries to act out the content of the rhyme using facial expressions, gestures and voice. The rest of the children must guess what kind of poem it is.

You can make it more challenging by having older children dress up in appropriate costumes and props. Give them a choice of a variety of rags, ribbons, scarves, masks and other attributes. Let the children get creative and dress up the way they like. And then they will try to depict their favorite character or plot of the poem.

This charade game will help children remember poetry better and develop imagination and artistry. The main thing is to maintain an atmosphere of fun and creativity. Good luck!
