Balloting Kidney Symptom

The Balloting Kidney symptom is a symptom determined by two-handed palpation by a doctor. It is characterized by mobility and enlargement of the kidney.

This symptom is observed when the kidney is overstretched by urine, blood or tumor. On palpation, the doctor feels mobility and enlargement of the kidney, which is a sign of the Balloting symptom.

Overstretching of the kidney can be caused by various reasons - obstruction of the urinary tract (for example, stones), inflammatory diseases (pyelonephritis), kidney tumors, bleeding into the kidney due to injury. All this leads to the accumulation of fluid in the kidney and its enlargement.

If a symptom of Balloting of the Kidney is detected, it is necessary to conduct an additional examination to establish the exact cause of the overstretching of the organ and prescribe appropriate treatment.
