Syndrome Toxic

What is toxic syndrome?

Toxic syndrome is a complex of symptoms caused by the negative effects of toxic substances on the body. The criteria for the onset of this condition are prescribed by the instructions of the Ministry of Health for the use of a specific drug. In simple words, toxic syndrome occurs when the dose of a substance is exceeded several times. Most often it occurs due to poisoning. In most cases, toxic shock is expressed. Let's look at its symptoms and causes.

Symptoms of toxic shock - Hyperthermia. Toxic substances slow down the functioning of body systems. Therefore, one of the first symptoms is an increase in body temperature above normal (usually one degree). - Reduced blood pressure. Hyperthermia leads to vasodilation. By reducing the work of the heart muscle, the body tries to reduce metabolic processes in order to redirect all forces to the work of the brain, however, the heart also suffers. It cannot push blood through the narrowed vessels, which leads to low blood pressure and lack of pulse. Blood pressure drops and the skin becomes cold to the touch. Chills appear. - Swelling of blood in joints, muscles and skin. Due to these changes, a feeling of numbness in the limbs appears. If you press hard on an area of the body where fluid circulates, there will be pain. Another symptom of this syndrome is the appearance of marbling.
