Scleroma of the larynx

Laryngoscleroma (syn. scleroma of the larynx) is a hypertrophic proliferation of the pulmonary parenchyma, leading to the formation of a fibro-fatty polypoid node, connected by sprouting cords to the underlying tissues. It is formed in the thickness of the laryngeal folds and most often affects their cricoid process and arytenoid process, less often - the epiglottis and subglottic fold.
