Scoliosis Traumatic Secondary

Scoliosis of the traumatic secondary type is a disease of the spinal column that develops as a result of traumatic brain or burn injury to the head, spine, skeleton or nerves. With this type of scoliosis, the cartilaginous and ligamentous structures of the vertebrae are primarily affected, which contributes to the curvature of the shape of the back (like kyphosis, lordosis or kypholordosis) with an abnormal body position. Scoliosis of this type is characterized by an asymmetrical arrangement of the angles of scoliosis relative to the spinal column or a displacement of the angle back or forward.

Scoliosis is a deformity of the spine that leads to curvature of its axis in the lateral or anteroposterior plane. The distorted spine compresses the spinal cord and internal organs. This may be the consequences of injury, congenital defect, or infectious tissue damage. It affects not only the spine, but also other organs
