Spaniomenorrhea

Spaniomenorea is a menstrual disorder characterized by infrequent and scanty periods.

With spaniomenorrhea, menstruation occurs less frequently than once every 35 days. The amount of blood released is no more than 20-30 ml. The duration of menstruation is also reduced to 1-2 days.

The causes of spaniomenorrhea may be associated with hormonal disorders, inflammatory diseases of the genital organs, stress, and exhaustion.

For diagnosis, a gynecological examination, hormone analysis, and ultrasound of the pelvic organs are performed.

Treatment of spaniomenorrhea depends on the identified cause. Hormonal medications, vitamin therapy, and elimination of inflammatory diseases may be prescribed. If necessary, hormonal contraceptives are used to regulate the menstrual cycle.

The prognosis with timely treatment is usually favorable.
