Spermaturia

Spermaturgy is a condition in which a small amount of sperm is found in the urine. This can happen during a microscopic examination of urine when sperm are found in it. This phenomenon is not a pathology and does not require treatment. However, if the number of sperm in the urine becomes significant, it may lead to cloudy urine. Retrograde ejaculation is the abnormal release of sperm into the bladder. This may occur after certain prostate surgeries or after various neurological disorders that result in incomplete closure of the bladder neck. In such cases, it is necessary to consult a doctor for diagnosis and treatment.

Spermatosis is the presence of sperm or male reproductive cells in or outside the bladder. This condition can be caused by various factors, including prostatitis, urolithiasis, urinary tract infections or prostate disease. Sperm can enter the urine from the posterior urethra or when the bladder is full. If, upon detection of sperm in the urine, the possibility of urination during ejaculation is first suspected, then it is recommended to collect the first portion of urine in a plastic container with a lid and deliver it to the laboratory for testing. The results of the first collection generally correspond more accurately to the onset of ejaculation and can serve as a starting point for further research. This abnormality may indicate infection or inflammation such as prostatitis or epididymitis. And in most cases, treatment is aimed at eliminating the underlying disease that caused the appearance of sperm in the urinary tract. Additionally, patients may receive antibiotics to treat the infection. In some cases, surgery may also be required. If sperm appears in a man’s body, he either does not experience complete satisfaction with erection and ejaculation, or the problem is inflammation of the nervous system caused by surgery on the genitals or other mechanical injuries.
