Spondylitis Traumatic

Traumatic spondylosis (spur, spondylosis) is a disease of the spine, which is characterized by inflammatory processes on the anterior surface of the vertebral bodies (spondylos). Spondylosis is one of the common diseases of the spine. Most often it occurs in men, starting at the age of 40-50 years. Some people may experience spondylosis at an earlier age, but most often the pathology affects adult men whose spine is under severe stress. Women suffer from this pathology less often, usually after rib fractures.

Spondylosis appears only when the vertebral body is severely damaged. First, an inflammatory reaction appears, it gradually develops into the growth of new tissues (hypertrophy), which lead to deformation. This causes pinching of the spinal cord and nerves. If left untreated, spondylosis can lead to worsening of the disease.

Spondylosis is treated by a neurologist. First of all, he prescribes spinal immobilization and anti-inflammatory drugs. In the future, if the patient refuses to do this, there is a serious threat of deterioration of his condition. In any case, if you have pain in the back, you should immediately consult a specialist. You should not risk your health for dubious ways to relieve pain.
