Spring fingers is a medical term used to designate a painful nodular formation in the area of the tendons of the 3rd or 4th fingers of the hand, developing as a result of inflammation of the tendon sheath of the flexor of the nail phalanx (tibius tenosis) or extensor of the nail phalanx.
