Bogomolov serum is a drug that is used to treat a number of diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, autoimmune hepatitis and others.
This preparation is made from the hemolymph of young females of the stinging mantis of the family True mantises of the genus Althepus. There are approximately 70 species of insects in this family. The very name of blood-sucking mosquitoes is translated as “god of malaria mosquitoes” or “killer mosquitoes.”
The miraculous healing of the serum turned out to be just such a fairy tale, but not a fairy tale. For more than thirty years, it has been able to help patients with rheumatism in reducing the severity of symptoms by almost half.
