Constitutional tachycardia or tachycardia (symptom) is an increase in heart rate of more than 90-120 beats per minute, caused by an increase in the impulse activity of the sinus node or its sinoatrial section. Occurs in 17.6% of cardiac diagnoses.
**Main causes of tachycardia in adults**:
- dyshormonal cardiomyopathies (hypertrophic and restrictive cardiomyopathy); - rheumatic heart defects, mitral valve prolapse, tricuspid valve regurgitation; - myocarditis, pericarditis; - Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, short Q-T interval syndrome;
