Tardiferon is a drug belonging to the group of antianemic drugs.

Indications for use

Tardiferon is indicated for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia, as well as for the prevention of iron deficiency. The drug is used for conditions accompanied by an increased need for iron: pregnancy, lactation, intensive growth and development of children.

Directions for use and doses

Tardiferon is taken orally, without chewing, with a small amount of water.

Adults and children over 12 years of age are prescribed 1 tablet 2 times a day, an hour before meals. The course of treatment is 3-6 months.

Children aged 6 to 12 years are prescribed 1 tablet once a day. The drug is contraindicated for children under 6 years of age.

Tardiferon should be taken in a continuous course. Taking a break from taking the drug may reduce its effectiveness.

Side effects

When used correctly, Tardiferon is well tolerated. In rare cases, allergic reactions and dyspeptic symptoms are possible.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, hereditary fructose intolerance, children under 6 years of age. Use with caution for liver and kidney diseases.
