Todd's Paralysis

Todd Paralysis is a sudden numbness of a body part or limbs. The lesion usually affects one arm or leg. It often occurs after injury, but can be triggered by mental disorders. Lack of facial expressions and gestures, problems with limb mobility prevent people from living a full life. And although in 80% of patients the syndrome resolves spontaneously after about a month, if left untreated, patients may experience severe complications, for example, psychotic manifestations. In most cases, treatment consists of conservative therapy or surgery.
