Tokelo is a mycosis of the skin of unknown etiology, initially mistakenly considered to be leprosy.
The process is common in Asia and Africa. Compared to other mycoses, its prevalence in the world is the highest. Men are affected from 5 to 32 times more often than women (the likelihood of acquisition on the continent is constantly increasing). According to some sources, the age group among the sick is 20-70 years old. It also occurs in children. Women get sick more often.
