Trichoclasia nodosa (Trichorrhexis Nodosa)

Trichoclasia nodosa (Trichorrxis nodosa).

Trichoclasia nodosum is a chronic disease of the scalp, accompanied by increased production of sebaceous glands, as well as noticeable fragility of the hair. Most often, the disease becomes hereditary and is only subsequently confirmed by laboratory tests. As with others

Trichoclasia nodosa or nodular hair (Trichorrexis nodosa) is a pathology of the hair shafts, in which they become loosened and weakened along their entire length. The condition is caused by an increased content of disulfide bridges, which disrupts the formation of hair keratin and makes it easily susceptible to mechanical stress. Hormonal dysfunctions, as well as constant chemical exposure to hair follicles, predispose to the appearance of knotty hair shaft.

Trichoclasia nodosum is a condition of increased hair fragility that can be either hereditary or caused by physical or chemical damage. This disease is characterized by changes in the structure of the hair, which leads to its fragility and weakening. It occurs in people of any age, but is more common in men.

In most cases, trichoclasis nodosa has no visible symptoms.
