Triprim is an antimicrobial drug that inhibits the synthesis of folic acid and is an inhibitor of the synthesis of anaerobic and aerobic microflora. It is widely used as an antibiotic to treat bacterial urinary tract infections such as acute and chronic pyelonephritis and acute cystitis.
