Trochocephaly

Trochocephalia (trochocephalia; trocho- + kephalē head, horse head) is a congenital deformity of the skull in which the occipital bone and the upper part of the skull are saddle-shaped.

Trochocephaly can be either unilateral or bilateral. It can be caused by a variety of causes, such as genetic disorders, infections during pregnancy, toxic exposure to the mother during pregnancy, or head trauma in early childhood.

Symptoms of trochocephaly may include headaches, breathing difficulties, vision problems, and various neurological disorders. Treatment for trochocephaly depends on the cause and may include surgery, physical therapy, and medication.

Although trochocephaly is a fairly rare condition, it can have serious consequences for a person's health and quality of life. Therefore, if you or your child suspect trochocephaly, you should see a doctor for diagnosis and treatment.
