The hamate-metacarpal ligament consists of:
* Articular cartilage at the upper end of the ulna.
* Loose attachment to the lateral aspect of the hamate bone.
Associated with the radial (carpal) ligament of the wrist. * Posterior metacarpal bone. The articular surfaces are located in front and behind the palm. Associated with the hand and the base of the thumb. * Lateral hamate. There is an articular surface in the anterior and posterior parts. Placed directly above the carpal capsule and connected to the hamate bone. * Medial metacarpal ligament. It has an articular surface anteriorly and posteriorly, adjacent to the medial surface of the thumb. Also adjacent to the wrist capsule. Associated with the lateral metacarpal bone
