Ureatomy is a surgical intervention aimed at restoring the functionality of the male urethra. The operation is performed for obstructions in the urethra and can be both a therapeutic measure and part of diagnostic procedures.

There are two types of ureatomy - intrauterine and external. Extraperitoneal urethectomy is performed if urinary function is not impaired or is accompanied by minor difficulties associated with a decrease in the lumen of the urinary tract due to scars, tumors, or other disorders. Intraperitoneal urethrectomy corrects pathological changes in the tissue of the urethral wall, which are caused by trauma or an oncological process.

Carrying out ureatomy intervention requires a highly qualified surgeon. The doctor must have
