Uronephrosis

Uronephrosis refers to persistent deviations from the norm in the functioning of the kidneys and urinary tract. Against this background, a disruption of the normal functioning of the paired organ is observed with a delay or complete cessation of urine output. Compared to other diseases of the urinary system, this is a rather rare diagnosis. Statistics show an increase in the incidence of uronephrosis in people over 50 years of age. More often women become victims of the disease. This occurs due to the peculiarities of female anatomy - the urethra. The concentration of microbes in it is higher than in men, which significantly increases the likelihood of developing an infection in the pelvic area.
