Veins Subscapular

There are many subscapular veins, but the largest, upper and necessarily studied - the suprascapular, is complemented by two more very important in functional terms and therefore also studied - the middle and small subscapular. The deep medial scapular branches from the anterior interscapular artery flow into them, and most of the blood supply to the upper limb is carried out by these three veins. After flowing into the axillary vein, they are located along the posterior edge of the deltoid muscle, which reduces the likelihood of their damage during fractures of the humerus.
