Vetomolar sulcus

The mammary sulcus is located on the side of the face in the temporomandibular zone on both sides. According to one version of scientists, it is called “intermaxillary”. It connects the maxillary and hyoid arches. And sometimes it happens that there is an unovergrown version of the groove. Physiological curvatures formed during intrauterine development are also observed. Causes: developmental abnormalities, infections and other injuries.

The mammary canal between the jaws forms a cleft. This defect can cause:

- heart disease; - gastrointestinal tract disorder; - arrhythmia; - some other abnormalities in the functioning of organs.
