**Vein facial posterior TV. (facialis posterior)** is an arterial vessel that passes through the posterior wing of the middle meningeal vein on the surface of the temporal bone. It delivers blood from the superficial temporal artery to the superficial temporal nerve and middle veins of the face.
The name of the vein comes from the Latin word "facialis", which means "pertaining to the face", and the suffix "-is", which indicates that it belongs to the posterior tiaenic vessels of the head. Thus, the combination "venous facial" in the context of an artery corresponds to the term "arterial facial".
**Venous facial anterior TV (facialis anterior)** - located on the inner side of the temporal head in the frontal plane. It flows into the petrous part and drains blood from the superficial temporal vessels and the superficial branch of the middle venous system of the face to the cerebral venous canal. This vein is a small arterial vessel, approximately 3 millimeters wide and about 6 millimeters long.
