Vero-Fluconazole

Vero-Fluconazole is an antifungal drug produced in Russia by the Veropharm company.

It contains fluconazole as an active ingredient and is available in the form of capsules of 50 mg and 150 mg.

Fluconazole belongs to the group of triazole antifungal agents. It is active against Candida, Cryptococcus, dermatophytes and some dimorphic fungi.

The drug is indicated for the treatment of vaginal, mucous membranes, generalized candidiasis, cryptococcosis, skin mycoses, deep endemic mycoses. It is also used to prevent fungal infections in cancer patients.

Vero-Fluconazole is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to fluconazole, pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Possible side effects include digestive disturbances, headache, alopecia, hepatotoxicity, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia and skin reactions.

The drug enhances the effect of oral hypoglycemic and anticoagulants. Requires caution in renal failure and in HIV-infected patients.
