Wimberger's Sign

Wimberger feature (VP) is a visual compositional technique in black and white photography. First proposed by American photographer Harry Wimberger. A photograph consists of a sequence of several frames, which must be composed and combined in such a way as to support and emphasize the semantic and emotional connection between them. The purpose of this technique is to influence the viewer in two directions - attracting attention and providing an indelible image in memory. This approach works well in cases where frames are photographed in different places or circumstances, which provides the opportunity not only to construct consistent visual images, but also movement, movement in photography.
