Vinilin (Shostakovsky Balm)

Vinilin (Shostakovsky Balm) is an antiseptic produced in Russia by the Kazan Pharmaceutical Factory and Khimreaktivkomplekt companies.

The international name of the drug is Polivinox. Also known under the names Vinylin, Shostakovsky's Balsam, Polyvinylin-Rusfar. Available in liquid and 50 g liquid forms.

Active ingredient: Polivinox.

Indications for use:

  1. Externally - boils, carbuncles, trophic ulcers, purulent wounds, mastitis, soft tissue injuries, burns, frostbite and inflammatory skin diseases.
  2. Inside - hyperacid gastritis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, heartburn.
  3. Rectally (through a rectoscope) - dysentery, colitis.

Contraindication is hypersensitivity.
