Side effects are also possible, such as hypotension, tachycardia, extrasystole, and an increase in the duration of ventricular electrical systole. Interaction with heparin therapy may increase the risk of bleeding complications.

In case of overdose, gastric lavage, intake of activated carbon and symptomatic treatment are recommended. Also, do not forget that patients with cardiac pathology cannot administer vinpocetine intravenously due to the risk of developing arrhythmia, including ventricular fibrillation. For hemorrhagic stroke, the drug is also not recommended, because it may increase the risk of bleeding.

Despite some limitations, Vinpocetine-Rivo is considered an effective remedy for improving cerebral circulation and improving cognitive function. However, before you start using it, you should consult your doctor and evaluate the benefits and risks of its use in each specific case.
