Slow virus is the general name for a little-studied group of viruses that cause slowly developing diseases associated primarily with the circulatory and nervous systems. This group of viruses gets its name from the slow progression of the disease, which can last for several weeks or months.
Slow viruses can be transmitted from person to person, for example through contact with saliva or blood. In some cases, the virus can be present in a person's body without causing symptoms, while in other cases the illness can be severe and life-threatening.
Symptoms of slow virus infection include high blood pressure or dizziness, weakness, fever, headaches
