Wunderlich Temperature Curve

Wundlich temperature reticuloid is a temperature hygrometer in which a capillary located outside the reticulum is washed by a current of air, changing the temperature of the water standing in it. It was created by a German doctor and physiologist Sergei Romanovich Wunder.

Main parts of the device:

- transparent melting scale, graduated in centimeters or millimeters; - uterine cylinder equipped with a plug; - thermometer. The readings of the mercury thermometer in the mother cylinder are transmitted using a thin graphite thread to the scale of the thermometer - it is lowered into the air temperature and is blown with a stream of air in the air. Readings are recorded in minutes, hours or shorter periods of time. Since alcohol or water cools instantly, the air temperature when the bipod is closed moves almost imperceptibly. In this regard, either frequent observations or an increase in the diameter of the capillary are necessary.
