Vyynaya Region

The meaning of the word “nuchal” (“nuchal”) is the area under the arms, under the breasts, under the arms. It comes from the word “neck” - neck, throat. The answer to the word is that it comes from the Belarusian verb “vyts”, which means “to shout”. The second version of the origin is called more understandable - when something is lifted up, a notch may appear in this place, which can form the word “nuchal”.

In the Russian language, the word “nuchal region” has become a stable expression and denotes a not entirely elegant part of the human body - the armpit. This expression is interesting in that it denotes a common part of male (and for some, female) physiology, but its use is very rare in men and almost never in women, especially older ones. But even now they can hear an exclamation-address accompanied by this word: “Rider, who met you like that - sat down like a toad in a stall!”
