Ashgabat ulcer

Ashgabat ulcer, or simply Ashgabat (from “ashkhatab”, “khaital” - translated into Russian as “light Akhal-Teke”), alcohol addiction. This is an uncontrollable attraction to drinking alcohol, which is possible even without drinking alcohol, which does not have a period of “breakdown” (abuse).

Ashkhat ulcer is one of those diseases that classical Russian literature and nature teaches us to avoid, in the form of a phenomenon of serious illness - drunkenness. The ulcer of ashikha-shibok (drunkenness) must be exterminated, along with such manifestations of cowardice as tobacco and drugs.

Alcohol dependence involves changes in the brain that form as a result of prolonged use of alcoholic beverages. Ashkharabed is characterized by periodic mood swings: from optimistic to tearfully sad. Emotional swings, as well as anxiety and mood swings, are possible during heavy drinking, but also when sober. The patient's memory and thinking suffer, since ethanol has a very strong effect on the brain, causing degradation. This is how a sick person becomes limited and prone to sadness. The need for emotional experiences and sensuality only intensifies, increasing dependence on alcohol and dark depression. Mental disorders manifest themselves in the form of irritability, aggression, loss of self-control, dulling of the instinct of self-preservation. Affective (psychopathological) and vegetative crises - alcohol withdrawal syndrome.
