Zev Obstetrician

The obstetric pharynx is an opening (paranasal opening) connecting the oral and nasal cavity with the uterine cavity (or rather, its canal - the cervical canal) in a woman. Just like in men, this canal opens into the upper corner of the nasal cavity after the closure of its posterior wall with the septum. The resulting triangle-shaped cavity is called the pharyngeal-uterine cell, or uterine cave. In women, it is not widened or completely closed, which allows for relationships to arise between the reproductive and general tracts of the respiratory system. This fact can contribute to the spread of infections (for example, whooping cough, mumps) and other pathologies from one organ to another.
