Gill Pocket

The gillary pouch is a pouch-shaped formation that is located on the inside of the upper lip, slightly closer to its edge. This “pouch” appears when a baby teethes. The gall pocket produces saliva, which the baby needs to absorb some components of mother's milk. With the help of the mother, the baby receives useful nutrients and microelements, which are absorbed by the body through saliva.
