Female Duct

The female duct, also known as the paramesonephric duct (ductus paramesoneurophrici) or paramesonephric duct (ductu paramesonephrici), is a narrow tubular canal that opens at the entrance to the urogenital sinus in the female of many mammalian species and is a branch of the Müllerian duct. In some species, the female duct contributes to the formation of the hymen, in others, to the development of the uterus.
