Zintset is a drug that belongs to the group of H1-histamine receptor blockers. It contains the active ingredient cetirizine and is used to treat various allergic reactions.

The country of origin of Zincet is India. The drug is manufactured by Uniquem Laboratories. The international name of the drug is Cetirizine. It may also be sold under other synonyms, such as Allertec, Analergin, Zetrinal, Zyrtec, Zodac, Letizen, Parlazin, Cetirizine Hexal, Cetirinax and Cetrin. The drug is available in the form of film-coated tablets with a dosage of 10 mg.

The tweezers contain only one active ingredient - cetirizine. It blocks the action of histamine, which leads to a reduction in the symptoms of allergic reactions. The drug is indicated for seasonal and year-round allergic rhinitis, hay fever, allergic conjunctivitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria, skin itching, angioedema, as well as for complex therapy of atopic dermatitis, chronic eczema and bronchial asthma.

However, like any other drug, Zincet has its contraindications and limitations for use. It should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to hydroxyzine, during pregnancy, breastfeeding and in children under 2 years of age (under 6 years of age if renal or liver function is impaired). You should also be careful when using the drug in the elderly and in patients with impaired renal and liver function.

Side effects may occur when using Zincet. From the nervous system and sensory organs, drowsiness, fatigue, agitation, headache, dizziness, anxiety, nervousness, emotional lability, impaired concentration and thinking, insomnia, depression, euphoria, confusion, amnesia, depersonalization, ataxia, impaired coordination may be observed. movements, tremor, hyperkinesis, cramps of the calf muscles, paresthesia, dysphonia, myelitis, paralysis, ptosis, disturbance of accommodation and vision, eye pain, glaucoma, xerophthalmia, conjunctivitis, hemorrhage in the eye, ototoxicity, tinnitus, hearing impairment. From the hematopoietic system, rare cases of thrombocytopenia, leukopenia and agranulocytosis may occur. From the digestive system, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, anorexia, hepatitis, yellowing of the skin and sclera, and increased activity of liver enzymes may be observed. On the part of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, urticaria, itching, rash, angioedema, eczema, photosensitivity, sweating, and alopecia may occur. Rarely, bronchospasm and anaphylactic reactions may occur.
