Dosage forms - oral drops 1%, film-coated tablets 10 mg
Composition - Active ingredient - cetirizine.
Indications for use - Seasonal and year-round allergic rhinitis, hay fever, allergic conjunctivitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria, skin itching, angioedema; complex therapy of atopic dermatitis, chronic eczema, bronchial asthma.
Contraindications - Hypersensitivity, including to hydroxyzine, pregnancy, breastfeeding, children under 2 years of age (up to 6 years with impaired renal or liver function). Restrictions on use: Impaired kidney and liver function, old age.
Side effects - various side effects from the nervous, digestive, cardiovascular, respiratory systems, as well as skin reactions.
Interaction - Theophylline slightly (16%) reduces clearance. Compatible with azithromycin, pseudoepinephrine, ketoconazole, erythromycin, diazepam and cimetidine.
Overdose - Symptoms: drowsiness, possible - anxiety, urinary retention, tremor, tachycardia, itching, rash. Treatment: gastric lavage, administration of activated carbon; supportive and symptomatic therapy.
Special instructions - Use with caution for drivers and people whose profession requires concentration. The concomitant use of CNS depressants and alcohol is not recommended.
