Hello! Lately, when I am faced with the question of choosing new skincare products, I prefer to look for the products I need in the pharmacy segment. This time I settled on La Roche-Posay - French cosmetics, which are based on the healing properties of La Roche Posay thermal water. A wide range of products and treatments for various skin types, including problem skin, allows you to solve most skin problems: get rid of acne, pimples, restore skin balance, protect it from harmful environmental influences and much more.

Today I want to share with you my opinion about the foaming cleansing gel intended for oily sensitive skin from the EFFACLAR series, which made the most pleasant impression on me. The gel is designed to gently cleanse the skin of impurities and excess sebum, resulting in fresh and absolutely clean facial skin. Please see below for details!

The 200 ml tube contains a transparent gel based on La Roche-Posay thermal waters, does not contain alcohol, dyes or soap, and is paraben-free. Physiological pH level 5.5. The composition includes cleansing components that delicately interact with sensitive facial skin, while ridding it of any impurities, cosmetic residues and excess sebum. Gel Moussant Purifiant is intended primarily for oily, sensitive skin, and I chose it because I have combination skin, but in the hot season it is still prone to oily skin. Usually in the summer I use aggressive products for oily skin types, which often cause a feeling of dryness and flaking.

Using La Roche-Posay EFFACLAR gel is extremely simple: you need to apply the right amount of gel into your palm, add a little water, then lather in your palms and apply to your face, avoiding the area around the eyes. Sometimes I apply the gel to my already damp palms and just whisk it a little. As a result, we get a soft and airy white foam, which is very pleasant to wash your face in the morning and evening. Afterwards, the gel must be thoroughly rinsed with warm water.

The gel has a light synthetic aroma, the aroma is unobtrusive and quickly disappears.

Step 1 - apply the product to your palm

In addition, the gel helps tighten pores, exfoliate dead cells and even out the surface of the skin, all thanks to glycasil (a patented development from the La Roche-Posay laboratory). Lipo-hydroxy acid (LHA) is a lipophilic keratolytic that gently exfoliates and moisturizes the skin.

Step 2 - add water and form a soft foam

After use, the skin feels completely cleansed and fresh, the remnants of makeup, oil and shine disappear. I don't feel any tightness, although some girls mention this point. Immediately after washing my face, I move on to the next step of cleansing my skin - I wipe it with a micellar solution and apply a cream or serum. Maybe that's why my skin just doesn't have time to feel uncomfortable.

Among other things, as soon as the skin becomes normal combination (with dry areas on the cheeks), and most often this happens in the fall and winter, I simply wash only the oily areas with gel (mainly the T-zone and chin), lightly touching the dry dehydrated or I generally bypass them.
After 2 weeks of daily washing in the evenings and sometimes in the morning, I can note that the product suited me exactly and did a delicate job of cleansing my facial skin. Therefore, I am happy to switch from the rather aggressive cleansing mousse with microgranules Clarins Doux Nettoyant Moussant, to which I have been faithful for a very long time, not without frequent negative moments with peeling of the skin after its use, to this foaming gel.

The product is quite economical: it takes a small drop to wash the entire surface of the face. According to my estimate, the product should be enough for 6 months of washing in the morning and evening. The manufacturer recommends using the open gel for 12 months.
