I’m 30-something years old and barely noticeable wrinkles have begun to appear near my eyes and nasolabial folds. Having seen an advertisement for a new product from Vichy that promised to slow down the aging process, I ran to order it.

It turned out that the cream is not cheap. The lowest price at that time was on Ozone. I bought it there. But I decided to limit myself to only two products from this series: day and night face cream-mask.

Why I liked this cream:

1. Firstly, it is intended for dry and normal skin, and my skin is prone to dryness, especially in winter, a little better in summer, but it needs to be moisturized and nourished.

3. Thirdly, the stunning design of the jar, made in turquoise and white colors.

Now, what didn’t I like about this cream:

1. The consistency of the product seemed thick to me. It is applied unevenly and is difficult to spread over the skin. I applied just a little bit, but nevertheless the cream was not immediately absorbed. I think it will be ideal for winter, but for summer I want a lighter texture, almost invisible. There is no greasy shine left, but the feeling that there is some kind of substance on the cheekbones always haunts. This is not what I expected. But it moisturizes and nourishes perfectly.

1. Separately, I would like to note the smell - there is a very bright and pungent fragrance. It takes a long time to weather. For me this is a significant minus.
2. I didn’t notice any particular effect from use; the small wrinkles were still there.

The manufacturer writes that this product is not just a restorative night cream, but also a mask that is suitable for all skin types.

If the product is used as a cream, then you just need to apply a small amount of the product on your face, avoiding the area around the eyes, and leave it overnight; if you use it as a mask, then after application, the remaining cream should be removed with a napkin after 10 minutes.

The cream itself is of an unusual color, it reminds me of overcooked caramel or buckwheat honey. The consistency is similar to jelly, not liquid, but not too thick.

It is applied evenly and easily, does not leave a greasy shine, but is not absorbed immediately, you have to wait 15-20 minutes.

But the smell was too harsh for me. I prefer a nighttime product that doesn't distract me from sleep in any way. Here, as well as in the day cream, the aroma is clearly pronounced, and it also takes a long time to dissipate. I definitely don’t like the smell, the scent is too aggressive.

Well, and most importantly, the result: after using the cream, the skin became soft and moisturized, but I did not see any rejuvenating effect.

Today we will talk about the Vichy brand, which I have known for a long time, but have never been able to make friends with. The hero of the review is the firming face cream. The manufacturer promises that it will remove existing signs of age-related skin changes and will not allow new ones to appear.

Externally, the cream looks quite nice. Available in two volumes - 10 ml (there is a special spatula inside for application) and 50 ml (with a convenient smooth dispenser, which is convenient to regulate the amount squeezed out). Often, 1.5 ml samples are given out when purchasing in online cosmetic stores. One of these came to me, at first glance I liked it, so I bought a full-fledged cream. Country of origin: France. The scent in the sample was not nearly as intense as the full size version. This is just some kind of horror, a real men's perfume. I have never seen this in skincare products before.

First, I’ll tell you why I liked the cream. It has a pleasant texture, but still a bit thick for a classic fluid. After application it does not run off. It is not absorbed instantly, but also quite quickly. The consumption output is economical. The cream has a protection factor of SPF25, which will not be superfluous in the summer. The cream works well with any decorative cosmetics; it lays on top of it normally. Perhaps that's all. The cream really mattifies (I have normal skin, but the T-zone is prone to oiliness).

There were many more problems with the cream. Firstly, after application, the face begins to tingle quite a bit. If the vessels are located close to the skin, redness may occur. Yes, the skin becomes smooth and velvety to the touch. But it feels like there is a non-breathable silicone film left on the skin that you want to wash off as soon as possible. I did not notice any obvious hydration or nutrition, nor was there any change in skin turgor. The packaging states that the cream is suitable for all skin types. In fact, such cosmetics are not worth a damn, because they are of no use to any skin. I wouldn’t call the composition phenomenal; it’s definitely not worth spending money on just thermal water.

The result? I definitely won’t buy this cream again, especially at this price. Regular mass market products have a better effect on the skin. But I won’t dissuade you from trying either. Skin care cosmetics are a purely individual thing; you can only find yours through trial and error. On my own behalf, I will give the cream a three, since there are still some advantages.
