Boils

Boils are also a type of boil. Most often they arise from poor digestion or from movements after being full and from causes similar to boils. The worst boils are the deepest.

When a boil appears, treat it for about three days in the same way as hot tumors are treated, and then you should begin to dissolve the matter and bring it to maturity; sometimes it resolves, but that's it. is rare, and sometimes matures. When treating a boil, you should not be careless, because often it turns into a huge boil; from this it ensures emptying in the required quantity by bloodletting or laxation.

If there is a beating in the boil and its root is deep, then it is necessary that it matures; contribute to this.

A person suffering from frequent boils gets rid of them by causing relaxation and loosening the skin through constant use of the bath and physical exercise. Medicines that promote the ripening of boils include horehound seeds, crushed with milk or fig juice, mustard and honey, as well as fig juice itself with honey. Chewed wheat perfectly helps the ripening of boils, as do raisins mixed with bavrak, or figs with mustard mixed with iris oil, or a well-known medicine for boils, as well as a medicine with leaven against boils. This medicine, which gradually induces ripening, is like this.

Recipe: take ghee - one and a half uqiyas, sour leaven - two uqiyas, crushed horehound seeds, flea plantain - one and a half uqiyas each, fig juice - three uqiyas, fenugreek and flaxseed - five dirhams each. All this is boiled in milk and consumed; it is a balanced medicine.

If the boil is heavy, ripens with difficulty and gives a slight fever, then open the vessel that feeds it, and then place the jar on the sore spot, but do not do this at first - then ichoric blood will come out, and the thick blood will be locked up and a hard ulcer will form.

If the boil is ripe and does not burst, then open it - either with the help of medicines or with iron, in accordance with what was said in the paragraph about boils. Good medicines for opening boils include flaxseed, pigeon feces and sourdough.
