These are small, short, thin snakes. They sometimes hide in trees, looking out for prey, and rush and jump at whoever passes by, scaring him. I will tell you that I saw one breed of such snakes in the lands of Dikhistan; they are reddish and very nasty. They say that the bite of these snakes causes severe pain and hot swelling throughout the body. If it is a snake of the breed that we saw, then its bite will cause death.
General treatment and treatment for viper bites are used. Doctors mention a snake whose name is Magishina, and say that it is a snake that jumps in both directions. I am not sure whether it is a jumping snake or some other snake, but people, when describing it, say that both ends are equally thick and that it is smooth in the middle. I don't think this is really the snake we saw.
