Dosage forms - 5 mg tablets
Composition - Active substance - Amlodipine.
Indications for use - Arterial hypertension, stable and vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal), including in patients resistant to therapy with nitrates or beta-blockers.
Contraindications - Hypersensitivity, arterial hypotension (less than 90 mm Hg), shock, acute myocardial infarction. Restrictions on use: severe aortic stenosis, heart failure, liver dysfunction, children's age (safety and effectiveness of use have not been determined).
Side effects - From the cardiovascular system and blood: facial skin flushing, palpitations; rarely - rhythm disturbances, chest pain, hypotension (including orthostatic). From the nervous system and sensory organs: fatigue, headache, dizziness, drowsiness; rarely - fatigue, asthenia, mood changes, visual disturbances. From the genitourinary system: peripheral edema (swelling of the ankles and feet); rarely - increased frequency of urination, impotence. From the gastrointestinal tract: nausea, abdominal pain; rarely - dyspepsia, change in bowel habits, jaundice. From the respiratory system: rarely - shortness of breath. From the musculoskeletal system: rarely - arthralgia, myalgia, paresthesia and pain in the extremities (with long-term use). From the skin: rashes, itching, rarely - erythema multiforme. Other: rarely - gingival hyperplasia, gynecomastia, increased levels of liver enzymes.
Interaction - Compatible with the main groups of antihypertensive drugs (diuretics, ACE inhibitors, beta-blockers), nitrates and hypoglycemic drugs. May enhance the effect: inhalation anesthetics (hydrocarbon derivatives), amiodarone, quinidine and other calcium antagonists (may enhance the effect). NSAIDs reduce the antihypertensive effect.

Special instructions - Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible if the expected effect of therapy exceeds the potential risk to the fetus. Breastfeeding should be stopped during treatment.
