Actinides or actinides (lat. Actinida pleroca écta) are a subfamily of plants of the Actinomeside tribe from the Heather family (now part of the Agateaceae, which includes all Heathers). Previously, they were classified in other genera, for example, in the oxalis family (subfamily Actinidae, genus Smolka and others). Actinides comprise about 250 species and subspecies, of which 37 are found in Russia.
In winter, shoots emerge from dormant buds, which are easily damaged when bent against the wind, but stand up well even against strong winds. When pruning, you should follow the rules for coniferous species.
