Aeroplankton

Aeroplankton are unusual animals that live in the air spaces of the planet and feed on particles of water vapor. These mysterious creatures have not yet been amenable to scientific study, but their existence was described back in the 19th century by scientist James Hyde. According to the scientist, he first discovered these light forms of life in

Aeroplankton are organisms of animal origin - representatives of the class of insects that inhabit the air. They form aerial nests (filled with eggs for larvae), usually or aircraft.

Air hoppers are flying insects. Outwardly, they most resemble the inhabitants of reservoirs - tadpoles: the body has a rounded shape and powerful limbs. They differ only in the presence of wings. And these wings are represented by thin skin, sometimes quite hard and tough - in some species they can reach enormous size. Aeroplankton is characterized by a natural change of generations. Within a few days after hatching from the eggs, the larvae become full-fledged insects. Nature gives adults all the opportunities that larvae can never get. Now let’s take a closer look at each of the family of aerial insects and try to understand the reasons for the origin of aerial nesting on the ground.
