Ахроматопсия (Achromatopsia)

Achromatia or achromotopia (English name achromataxia) is a neuropsychiatric disorder characterized by difficulty visually perceiving color shades. Patients with severe achromatia cannot identify colors, even if they can identify light signals. According to research, this condition occurs in one person in a million worldwide. At the same time, experts claim that this feature does not appear in children and is never recorded in older people. It is believed that achromatopsia may be associated with various hereditary factors. Unfortunately, at the moment, scientists cannot determine the exact causes of this disease.
